Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose and Definitions)

These Terms set out the conditions for using JOLIMITALK (the "Service"), a messenger service provided by JOLIVERSE (the "Company").

• "Jolimi" means a virtual character that responds using generative artificial intelligence.
• "Marron" means the currency used for paid features within the Service, and is divided into free Marron, which is granted daily, and paid Marron, which is purchased through in-app purchase.
• "Pounds" means the in-game currency used only within the Tea House game.
• "Studio" means the feature for generating and storing images and stickers.
• "JOLDISK linking" means connecting an account on the external service JOLDISK, at the user's choice.

Article 2 (Posting and Amendment of the Terms)

The Company keeps these Terms posted within the Service at all times. The Company may amend them to the extent that doing so does not violate applicable laws, and will give notice of any change that is unfavorable to users or material through an in-app notice starting 30 days before it takes effect. If you continue to use the Service without expressing your refusal by the effective date, you are deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms.

Article 3 (Accounts)

• The Service may be used by persons aged 13 or older. Users under the age of 14 require the consent of their legal representative.
• You sign up with an email address or an Apple or Google account, and your account information must be accurate.
• You are responsible for managing your account and password, and you may not transfer or lend them to others.
• If abnormal access is suspected, the Company may take measures such as blocking sign-in to protect you.

Article 4 (Content of the Service)

• We provide one-to-one conversations with Jolimi, chats with yourself, and one-to-one and group chats between users.
• We provide attachment of photos, videos, files, and contacts, as well as location sharing. The separate Location-Based Services Terms apply to location sharing.
• We provide the Studio, where you can generate and store images and stickers and use them in chats.
• We provide the Tea House game, consisting of Pounds, upgrades, friend rankings, and more.
• For users who choose to link, we provide display of JOLDISK organization information and department chats.

Article 5 (Notice of Use of Artificial Intelligence)

Jolimi's responses and the Studio's images and stickers are outputs created by generative artificial intelligence (notice under the Framework Act on the Development of Artificial Intelligence and the Creation of a Foundation for Trust). Outputs may be untrue or inaccurate, and they are creative works unrelated to real persons or events. You must verify them separately before relying on them for important decisions. Jolimi does not provide professional medical, legal, or financial advice.

Article 6 (Marron, Payments, and Refunds)

• Free Marron is granted daily, any remaining amount does not carry over, and it is not eligible for refund.
• Paid Marron is purchased through App Store or Google Play in-app purchase, and the payment itself is governed by each store's payment terms.
• Withdrawal of purchase: You may withdraw the purchase of unused paid Marron within 7 days of the purchase date through the store's refund procedure or by contacting the Company. Whether Marron is unused is determined on the basis that free Marron is deducted first.
• Limits on withdrawal: Marron that has already been used (amounts deducted for conversations or image generation, and amounts exchanged for game Pounds) is digital content whose provision is completed immediately upon use, so withdrawal of purchase is limited. We give advance notice of this on the purchase screen and in this Article, and we provide an opportunity for trial use by granting free Marron.
• Where a refund is made due to the Company's fault, the Company will begin the refund procedure within 3 business days.
• Payments by minors under the age of 19 require the consent of their legal representative, and a payment made without consent may be cancelled by the legal representative.
• Free Marron is extinguished when you withdraw your membership. If you have a remaining balance of paid Marron, you may use it first and then withdraw.

Article 7 (Game Currency)

• Game currency and items such as Pounds are valid only within the game and cannot be exchanged for cash or Marron.
• Exchanging Marron for Pounds is one-way, and Marron that has been exchanged is deemed used and is not refunded (Article 6).
• Game values and rules may be adjusted for balance, and material changes will be announced in advance.

Article 8 (Studio and Generated Content)

• Rights to content uploaded by users belong to the users. The Company uses it only to the extent necessary to provide the Service (storage, display, transmission, and generation of previews).
• You may freely use AI-generated images and stickers within the scope of personal use within the Service. You are responsible for any use that infringes the rights of third parties.
• Generation requests that make unauthorized use of another person's likeness, trademarks, or copyrighted works, and generation of illegal content, are prohibited.
• Child and youth sexual exploitation material is blocked immediately upon request and handled in accordance with the relevant laws.
• The storage box has a storage limit, and the limit policy is displayed within the Service.

Article 9 (User Content and Rules of Conduct)

• Illegal information, infringement of others' rights, spam, impersonation, and harassment are prohibited.
• You may report other users' content, and you may block other users.
• The Company may delete or block violating content confirmed through reports and monitoring, and may restrict use depending on the severity of the violation.
• Messages you have sent can be deleted only within a set time, and the rules for deletion on the other party's screen are displayed within the Service.

Article 10 (JOLDISK Linking)

Linking is at the user's choice, and when linked, organization and member display information is shown in the Service (Privacy Policy Article 4). You can unlink at any time, and related displays may be temporarily limited if JOLDISK experiences an outage.

Article 11 (Changes to and Suspension of the Service)

The Company may change the content of the Service for operational or technical reasons, or suspend it temporarily for maintenance. If the Company terminates the Service in its entirety, it will give notice 30 days in advance and refund any remaining paid Marron balance.

Article 12 (Termination and Withdrawal)

You may withdraw at any time within the app. When you withdraw, your account information is anonymized immediately, and original records are retained for 1 year as required by law and then destroyed (Privacy Policy Article 3). The handling of any remaining paid Marron balance follows Article 6.

Article 13 (Limitation of Liability)

• The Company is not liable for damages caused by force majeure, such as natural disasters or outages of external services (stores, AI providers, linked services).
• The accuracy and usefulness of AI-generated outputs are not guaranteed (Article 5), and users are responsible for the results of their use.
• As a rule, disputes between users and disputes arising from content posted by users are to be resolved between the parties, and the Company is involved only within the scope of its legal liability.
• The Company will compensate for damages caused by its intent or gross negligence in accordance with applicable laws.

Article 14 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are handled by the court having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act. For consumer disputes, you may use dispute mediation bodies such as the Consumer Dispute Settlement Commission.
